When I am comfortable with the person I am, I allow others to feel at ease around me.

I have realistic expectations of my friends and myself. I accept others just the way they are, without judgment. In order to have meaningful friendships, I must first be a good friend myself. Then, in return, others respect me and accept me for who I am.

My positive attitude makes me a pleasure to be around. I guard my speech to ensure that it is free from judgment and negativity, and full of laughter. Time spent with me is refreshing and peaceful.

My friends talk to me about things of substance because they know I am trustworthy. I treat my relationships like a flower, nurturing them and giving them time to blossom.

I cultivate my friendships by seeking out my friends through phone calls and invitations to connect. Spending quality time together draws us closer and reaffirms our bonds.

I deserve to have meaningful relationships and enjoy the company of others. My friends and I need each other to share gifts and talents that are unique to each one of us. Meaningful relationships are a balance of give and take.

Today, I chose to strengthen my relationships by wrapping myself in positivity and practicing acceptance. I am confident in the person I am and I attract others by expressing my true heart.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I have realistic expectations of others and myself?
2. What can I do to seek out new friends or reconnect with old pals?
3. Who is one of my most meaningful friends?

As long as I allow myself to see the beauty that surrounds me, my life is enhanced a hundred-fold. Therefore I strive to release any negative thoughts and feelings that can blind me from this beauty.

Beauty abounds in my loved ones and my relationships with them. Each one has their own unique beauty unlike anyone else. I see this beauty in their smile, feel it in their caress, and hear it in their song of life.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today's the gift. That's why it's called the PRESENT. - Bill Keane

They share their beauty in their hopes, dreams, and aspirations. I listen and am lifted up as I encourage them. When I feel down, they let their beauty shine through to bring me back up again.

I find beauty in everyday things – a wildflower lifting up its bloom through the rocky soil, the puppy that greets me with glee, the crystals of the morning dew, and the soft comfort of my bed at the end of the day.

Even humdrum routines bring a beauty of their own. When I get something done at work, it’s a beautiful thing! When I make a tasty dinner, that is beautiful also and I thoroughly enjoy it.

The moments of my life are filled with such beauty and I make it a point to take the time to discover and relish it for all it is worth! When I focus my thoughts on experiencing the beauty of the moment, I find that things almost always go my way!

Today, I choose to discover and cherish the beauty that comes with each moment of this wonderful day in my life.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I take time to stop and smell the roses?
2. What beauty shines through each of my loved ones?
3. When was the last time I noticed beauty in the little things I see every day?

Imperfection is the spice of life that helps me create a better recipe for my relationships and myself.

Imperfection provides variety. When I think of perfection, I think of how boring life would be if everyone were perfect. Everyone would look and act exactly the same! Yes, imperfection is my choice and I welcome it.

Just as spices enhance a meal, my life is enhanced by imperfections. Different spices make for different flavors, and each person in my life brings me a unique variety of imperfections that shape our relationship.

Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. - Albert Einstein

For example, we can complement each other with our different selection of strengths and weaknesses. My unique strengths help to bolster their weaknesses when they need it. In the same way, I can improve my weaknesses when I allow their strength to help build up my own.

I am grateful for my imperfections because it allows my love and relationships to bloom. Those who love me do not love me because I am perfect, but because of who I am, faults and all.

My imperfections make me one of a kind. Their unique combination all go to make up the wonderful person I am, inside and out.

Even though I choose to make myself better with self-improvement, I do not strive for perfection. I am simply changing my recipe around to a different mixture – more of one thing and less of another. These changes still allow me to be me!

Today, I embrace my imperfections as the spices that make me what I am and feel gratitude for the different spices in all my relationships.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How do I feel about my imperfections and those of my loved ones?
2. Do I strive for perfection?
3. Do I expect perfection from others in my life?

As we travel through our life’s journey, many relationships will come into our lives. Some of them will be wonderful and long lasting; others, unfortunately, may be short term or unhappy.

Do you tend to attract more negative relationships than positive? Though we strive to develop good, solid, and happy relationships, it seems we sometimes end up with exactly the opposite. Wouldn’t you love to attract more positive relationships? The good news is, you can!

Try some of these simple tips to enjoy more positive relationships in your life:

Patience. Wonderful relationships don’t occur overnight. They take time to nurture and develop into something that’s long lasting. To allow these relationships into your life, you must have the patience to let them grow.

When you begin a relationship that you perceive as being a positive one, don’t rush it. You may be very pleased to see what develops down the road.

Believe that you’re deserving of it. Be positive and avoid negative feelings or perceptions about yourself. Know that you deserve to have happy, stable relationships in your life.

If you begin to think negatively, you must turn these negative thoughts around immediately. Clear your mind and regain your self-confidence. ?

Remember, positive attracts positive. When you think positive thoughts, you’ll be rewarded with positive results.

You’ll ultimately attract positive relationships into your life with the positive energy you’re giving off to others. So be a good example of the friend or partner you look to attract!

Be true to yourself and others. If you’re not true to yourself, whether you believe it or not, others will sense this. Don’t try to be something that you’re not; this is a negative way of portraying yourself to others.

As mentioned before, positive attracts positive, but negative attracts negative as well. Show others your true self, including your flaws. They’ll appreciate your open and willing heart and be able to form a strong bond with you more easily.

Be genuine to others and allow them to see your true feelings and personality. Trying too hard to act like someone else could lead to embarrassment for you.

Don’t take relationships for granted. Remember to always give thanks for the valuable relationships in your life. They may not be as numerous as you’d like, but rather than complaining, be thankful for the ones you have now and have had in the past.

By professing your gratitude genuinely, you’ll have an easier time attracting future positive relationships.

Be honest. If you’re in a negative relationship right now, that will tend to keep positive relationships from coming into your life. Be honest with yourself and others. Make a conscious decision to either improve that relationship or end it.

Honesty will pave the way for more positive, trusting relationships to enter your life.

As the old saying goes, “Nothing worth having in life comes easily.” Attracting positive relationships – and weeding out the negative ones – may not be an easy task, but it’ll make for a better and more fulfilling life.

I know that too much focus in one area distracts me from other areas. I strive to maintain a balance so I can fulfill my desires in every aspect of my life.

I recognize that keeping everything in moderation brings good consequences. I can control my actions so I can enjoy these positive results every day.

Take eating, for example. I love food! I enjoy trying new foods and savoring the unique flavors. I also know that if I overeat, it interferes with my desires for a healthy, fit body. So I eat in moderation for fulfillment in both areas.

My passion for my work brings me many rewards. But I also recognize that leaving work behind at the end of each workday lets me pursue my passions in my personal life: hobbies, family, and leisure activities. So I work in moderation to allow time for all.

I thoroughly enjoy being with the love of my life! I also realize that saying ‘see you soon’ for part of the day builds anticipation when we meet again. Moderation keeps excitement in our relationship so our time together is even more fulfilling.

My time with my children is joyful. However, we give each other the freedom and support to pursue our own goals with focus and passion, knowing that fulfillment in every area makes our time together a whole lot more fun.

Today, my plan is to schedule time for work, family, and leisure activities, giving equal importance to each. This way I can thoroughly enjoy myself and end the day with a great feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I leave work behind at the end of my workday?
2. Am I giving equal importance to my leisure time each day?
3. Which area of my life could use more focus so I can regain balance?
