Photo by Hamed SaberI am rich in every area of my life. My relationships and my career are overflowing with accomplishments. I am wealthy because I have a surplus of things that bring me joy.

The reserves of my soul are filled to capacity with the things I value. I enjoy an overabundance of love, acceptance, forgiveness, health, and security in my life. I measure my wealth by counting my many blessings.

There is no shortage of blessings in my life because I work hard to position myself on the way to victory. When I purposefully pursue spiritual wealth, material prosperity follows me like a shadow wherever I go.

My friends and family enrich my life with their love. Feeling loved and accepted by my family makes me rich. I value the people in my life because I count relationships as one of life’s greatest treasures.

I am wealthy in my business and career because I am meticulous in my plans. I seek the council of the wise and I plan ahead carefully. When I take risks in the business world, they pay off in financial gains.

I am confident that the decisions that I make today are driving me forward toward even more wealth and success. Wisdom guides me to make choices that bring me closer to triumph. I obtain wealth by acquiring knowledge.

Today, I am thankful for the wealth that I possess and I look ahead to gaining even more wealth through wisdom, relationships and business. I envision myself wealthy in every area of my life and work toward that reality.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What is most precious to me?
2. How can I increase my wealth?
3. What can I do today to position myself toward wealth?

There is nothing in life more valuable than relationships. Possessions are temporary and passing, but relationships make life-changing marks on our hearts.

I choose to spend my time and money on the people I care about. When I receive an invitation to connect, I make the necessary arrangements to meet with my loved ones. Rearranging my schedule to make time for my loved ones is a sacrifice I am glad to make.

Daily, I seek to make long-lasting memories with my family. When we are together, I ignore small annoyances and focus on joy. My camera is always within arms reach so that I can capture memories to remember for generations to come. I forgive my loved ones quickly of any offenses because life is too short to waste on frivolous disputes.

Relationships are my safe haven from life’s torrential rains. Good friends can turn even the toughest situation into an endurable adventure. My friends and I help each other laugh through the storms and relax during the calm because that is what we do.

It takes a lot of effort to maintain relationships; therefore I work hard to be a good friend. I have a tight grasp around those I love because life is full of distractions that can pull me apart from my friends, unless I make the conscious decision to hold on to them.

Today, I choose to make time to invest in my relationships. I stay in touch with old friends because a well-tended friendship has the ability to outlast all other things in life.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What can I do to strengthen my relationships?
2. Is there someone I have lost touch with that I should call today?
3. Do I forgive my loved ones quickly?

I strive to clarify my priorities and let these guide me in my thoughts, words, actions, and decisions. This brings me a joyous life because I know I am focused on what is most important to my loved ones and myself.

Photo by zeneraWhen my thoughts are focused on my priorities, conflicting emotions of the moment pale in comparison to the big picture. This keeps frustrations and disagreements at bay in my relationships.

If my spouse does something irritating, I remind myself why I love her so much and the irritant no longer bothers me! I think, “If this is the worst she has, then how lucky am I?”

My words reflect my priorities. They are always encouraging and supportive. Even when I feel anger, my conversations are calm as I strive to find a solution to the situation.

At work, my conversations are productive and conducive to building a pleasant working environment.

My actions are based on my priorities, too. I plan my schedule and my to-do list according to what is most important, leaving plenty of wiggle room to enable me to attend to anything important that comes up. This way, my days are always productive.

I allow my priorities to guide my decisions. This gives me confidence to forge ahead with whatever I decide because I always know the decision is the right one for me when it is based on what is most important in my life.

Today, I choose to reflect on my priorities so I can be confident that I am focusing on what is most important to me, rather than the daily distractions.

Self-Reflections Questions:

1. Who is most important to me? Do I show this in the way I treat them every day?
2. What are my most important goals?
3. Am I considering an important decision? How can I let my priorities guide me?

It’s easy to get drawn into a negative relationship. It may have started out seemingly perfect, but things seemed to change overnight. It may be time to decide whether or not the positive attributes outweigh the negative ones when it comes to your relationship choices.

If you’re unhappy and emotionally drained after a break up, you might not be feeling too optimistic about throwing yourself back out there. However, opening yourself up to new opportunities is the only way you’re going to reach the happiness you seek.

The best thing you can do is to educate yourself well enough to know what to look for and what to avoid. It’s not a fail-proof plan, but by following certain strategies, you can increase your chances of a lasting relationship.

Try taking these actions to avoid negative relationships:

Avoid falling back on the wrong person. If you’re feeling particularly lonely, you may feel the urge to fall back on someone that’s not right for you. Deep down you know that this person is not “the one” and yet you come crawling back anyway trying to convince yourself that maybe the person can change. Chances are, they won’t.

Spend time getting to know your partner. Focus on getting to know your partner first before getting too serious in the relationship. Try to have some of the heavy conversations near the beginning of the relationship. This way if you hit major snags you can either decide to work through it or move on quickly.

Learn your partner’s history. Are there disturbing events in his or her past? It’s clearly best to avoid people who have a history of violence or intense addiction. If they do and you choose to proceed with the relationship, be extra cautious and set the ground rules from the beginning.

Avoid manipulative people. You might not realize it at first, but if you find that you’re being manipulated often, it can prove to be a serious drain on your relationship. If your partner is controlling and always has a selfish motive for their actions, it isn’t the best relationship to be in. Recognize these red flags when you see them and get out before you get too attached.

Make a checklist. Take some time to make a list of the qualities you’d like to see in a partner. Include qualities you like as well as qualities that you dislike. This checklist will help you determine whether the relationship is right for you. Here’s a tip: avoid writing down superficial characteristics such as looks. First and foremost, you must be attracted to his or her personality because the superficial things can and will change as you age.

Relationships can be difficult; it’s just a reality of human nature. The fact that many relationships end shouldn’t have any impact on your hope for the future. There are plenty of people out there that will be a good match, so it’s okay to avoid relationships that sap your soul.

Remember: you do have a choice! Focus on finding the right partner for you and then take action to make it the positive relationship you’ve always dreamed of!

The perfect start to my new life is to love and accept all of me.

As they say, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life.” In this new life, I choose to let go of any negative feelings I may harbor about myself and, instead, embrace the real me – faults and all!

After all, it’s my faults and imperfections that make me the perfectly unique individual I am today. No one is just like me and I like it that way!

Respect yourself if you would have others respect you. - Baltasar Gracian

Loving and accepting all of me make it possible for others to love me completely. When I love myself first, I can more easily love others and their faults, too. In this way, my relationships are based on truth rather than some unreal picture I have of someone or the one they have of me.

Loving myself strengthens my self-confidence and empowers me with an optimistic attitude – both of which can serve to make my life more fulfilled and bring me success.

I can still seek self-improvement, even when I accept my faults. Accepting them in the first place actually helps me to get where I want to be.

Even though I have talents I desire to strengthen, weaknesses I prefer to lessen, and habits I want to break, accepting where I am with them today is the first step to a successful change. Thinking positively about myself helps me improve in a positive way.

Today, I plan a day of self-discovery and love. I recognize and accept each and every imperfection and I compliment myself on my strengths as they each show themselves throughout the day.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I love and accept all of me?
2. What parts of myself do I harbor negative feelings about?
3. How can I turn my frown upside down?
