Photo by San Diego ShooterI have confidence in who I am. In every situation I face, I strive to give the very best I have to give. My self-confidence stems from knowing that I am created with unique talents for a specific purpose.

My calling in life is different from others. My unique set of strengths enables me to achieve my purpose. I am equipped to manage my life successfully. That is why I only try to live my life and refrain from coveting the path someone else is traveling.

When I keep my eyes on the road ahead, I am able to move forward. I stay in my line at all times because shifting my focus, even for a second, may cause me to fall.

I am free from the need to measure myself up to the standards of others because I have my own set of standards. As long as I am working hard and taking care of my responsibilities, what others are doing is irrelevant to me.

I eradicate comparison from my thoughts by choosing to accept that life comes in seasons. I embrace the season in which I find myself because it is part of my journey.

We are all in different seasons of life and each season plays out differently for each individual. Through this season, I choose to live my life to the fullest. I accept myself with all of my imperfections and learn to be happy where I am.

Today, I choose to keep my eyes fixed on my goals. I push aside insecurity by loving myself just the way I am.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. When was the last time my eyes wandered into someone else’s race?
2. Why is it important for me to only measure myself against my own standards?
3. How is comparison detrimental to my mind?

Photo by creativesamSelf-confidence overflows in me because I have a clear understanding of who I am. I am the artwork designed by the hand of my Creator. I have a purpose that is being fulfilled at this very moment.

I live by my values instead of the opinions of others. I am happy with myself because I remain true to my beliefs.

Having self-confidence is about loving myself, not only when I succeed but also when I stumble. I see myself through the merciful eyes of my Creator. I am proud to be me whether I come in first or last.

I separate my value from my performance because everyone has days when they disappoint themselves. Those days make me stronger, because I choose to learn from them and try again.

I burst with self-confidence because my personal speech is filled with love. My inner dialogue is saturated with words of affirmation. When I fail, I boost my self-confidence by reminding myself of my strengths and the lessons I am learning in the process.

I encourage myself to discover new talents hidden within myself by pursuing new interests with passion. I overcome fear of failure with the flow of my self-confidence fountain.

Today, I choose to love myself by separating my value from my performance. I look deep within myself and see the person I am destined to become. Today, I choose to step in a positive direction.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How can I separate my value from my performance?
2. How do I react to my own failures?
3. What new talent have I wanted to pursue?

Today is the beginning of the rest of my life. I am looking forward to the future with excitement because I know my purpose in life. When I seek wisdom and find meaning, I get energized about what is to come.

I look forward to the new adventures that lie ahead of me. My spirit is at peace about the future because each day I am gaining a clearer understanding of the reason for which I have been created. My life is filled with promise; therefore I give my best to all I do.

I seek wisdom and meaning in order to reignite my passion for life. When I redefine who I am based on new knowledge I gain about myself, I increase my significance and my relevance to the world.

Each time a piece of my life’s purpose is revealed to me, I swell with joy, eager to live another day. I look forward to making my mark on the world one day at a time. I flourish like a beautiful flower when I am fulfilling my purpose in life.

Knowing my meaning and purpose helps me to know my worth. I have a healthy level of self-confidence when I understand my purpose. I am happy to be myself and I am free from the pressure to be somebody else. I have a calling and a plan chosen for me by my Creator.

Today, I choose to be excited about the rest of my life. I live life to the fullest and make an impact on those around me because I know that my life matters.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What is the meaning of my life?
2. What is the legacy I want to leave behind?
3. What excites me today?

The perfect start to my new life is to love and accept all of me.

As they say, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life.” In this new life, I choose to let go of any negative feelings I may harbor about myself and, instead, embrace the real me – faults and all!

After all, it’s my faults and imperfections that make me the perfectly unique individual I am today. No one is just like me and I like it that way!

Respect yourself if you would have others respect you. - Baltasar Gracian

Loving and accepting all of me make it possible for others to love me completely. When I love myself first, I can more easily love others and their faults, too. In this way, my relationships are based on truth rather than some unreal picture I have of someone or the one they have of me.

Loving myself strengthens my self-confidence and empowers me with an optimistic attitude – both of which can serve to make my life more fulfilled and bring me success.

I can still seek self-improvement, even when I accept my faults. Accepting them in the first place actually helps me to get where I want to be.

Even though I have talents I desire to strengthen, weaknesses I prefer to lessen, and habits I want to break, accepting where I am with them today is the first step to a successful change. Thinking positively about myself helps me improve in a positive way.

Today, I plan a day of self-discovery and love. I recognize and accept each and every imperfection and I compliment myself on my strengths as they each show themselves throughout the day.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I love and accept all of me?
2. What parts of myself do I harbor negative feelings about?
3. How can I turn my frown upside down?

As we travel through our life’s journey, many relationships will come into our lives. Some of them will be wonderful and long lasting; others, unfortunately, may be short term or unhappy.

Do you tend to attract more negative relationships than positive? Though we strive to develop good, solid, and happy relationships, it seems we sometimes end up with exactly the opposite. Wouldn’t you love to attract more positive relationships? The good news is, you can!

Try some of these simple tips to enjoy more positive relationships in your life:

Patience. Wonderful relationships don’t occur overnight. They take time to nurture and develop into something that’s long lasting. To allow these relationships into your life, you must have the patience to let them grow.

When you begin a relationship that you perceive as being a positive one, don’t rush it. You may be very pleased to see what develops down the road.

Believe that you’re deserving of it. Be positive and avoid negative feelings or perceptions about yourself. Know that you deserve to have happy, stable relationships in your life.

If you begin to think negatively, you must turn these negative thoughts around immediately. Clear your mind and regain your self-confidence. ?

Remember, positive attracts positive. When you think positive thoughts, you’ll be rewarded with positive results.

You’ll ultimately attract positive relationships into your life with the positive energy you’re giving off to others. So be a good example of the friend or partner you look to attract!

Be true to yourself and others. If you’re not true to yourself, whether you believe it or not, others will sense this. Don’t try to be something that you’re not; this is a negative way of portraying yourself to others.

As mentioned before, positive attracts positive, but negative attracts negative as well. Show others your true self, including your flaws. They’ll appreciate your open and willing heart and be able to form a strong bond with you more easily.

Be genuine to others and allow them to see your true feelings and personality. Trying too hard to act like someone else could lead to embarrassment for you.

Don’t take relationships for granted. Remember to always give thanks for the valuable relationships in your life. They may not be as numerous as you’d like, but rather than complaining, be thankful for the ones you have now and have had in the past.

By professing your gratitude genuinely, you’ll have an easier time attracting future positive relationships.

Be honest. If you’re in a negative relationship right now, that will tend to keep positive relationships from coming into your life. Be honest with yourself and others. Make a conscious decision to either improve that relationship or end it.

Honesty will pave the way for more positive, trusting relationships to enter your life.

As the old saying goes, “Nothing worth having in life comes easily.” Attracting positive relationships – and weeding out the negative ones – may not be an easy task, but it’ll make for a better and more fulfilling life.
