However, taking action is one of those important pieces to the puzzle along with proper planning and the drive to succeed. Those that take action are the ones that see results.

How do you motivate yourself to continue working toward your goals, especially when you face challenges? Although some strategies will motivate you more than others, it’s good to experiment with several different ways of finding your motivation. Then, when the chips are down, you can depend on one of these strategies to get back on track.

Try these techniques to motivate yourself to take action:

Break your goals into smaller, attainable steps. Especially if you’re working toward a bigger goal, break it up into a series of small steps that you know you can achieve. After each step, celebrate and reward yourself for a job well done. With small steps, you’ll be more likely to stay on task because your rewards come often.

Know your limits. You know yourself best and only you can identify your personal limits. If you move too slowly, you’ll know deep down that you could be taking more action. However, when you try to do too much, you risk burnout. Figure out that magic point where you can achieve success without much stress, and you’ll remain motivated to keep taking action.

Take away your distractions. There are some things that might be more likely to distract you than others. Remove yourself from these situations when you know that you need to be taking action.

For example, if you’re a social person, perhaps you’ll need to stay away from friends and family during the times you want to work. Also, avoid surfing the net, video games, and television when it’s time to work.

Ask for the help you need. Don’t be afraid to get help from others. There’s only so much you can accomplish in one day all by yourself. It’s true that sometimes you’ll have to accomplish certain things on your own, but if there’s any way at all that someone else can help, consider that possibility and ask them.

Find an activity that energizes you. Sometimes you’ll find that there’s a period in the day where you go into a slump. Maybe you have trouble starting your engines in the morning, or perhaps it’s the afternoon that causes you to feel sluggish.

In these times, find some activity to re-motivate and energize you. One thing that can energize you is a good exercise routine. It’ll get your heart rate up and send fresh oxygen to your brain. This will refresh you, help you think more clearly, and make you feel more like doing your work.

Keep a tight schedule. A good schedule and organized plan will help keep you motivated and on track. In the beginning phases of planning your goals, be very specific when deciding what you need to do and when. This way, when you complete a step, you won’t have to spend time figuring out what you’re supposed to do next.

If you want to succeed, you can do it through purposeful action. Just think about what you’ve done to accomplish goals in the past. Chances are you had a plan and followed through. It might not always be easy, but when you remain motivated, you’ll reach whatever goal you set out to accomplish!

I refuse to be average. I was designed to be so much more than ordinary.

I was created with many talents for a reason. I may not know what that reason is, but I develop them to the best of my ability to help fulfill my purpose in life.

Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished. - Confucius

I may not be the strongest, smartest, most beautiful, or most talented person in the world, but I am definitely not average! I purposely do many things in my life to avoid falling into the “average” trap.

I seek new knowledge to improve my talents and strengthen my skills. I read and research new ideas to find out all I can. I take classes, go to seminars, and find mentors to help me bring out my talents.

I am action-oriented. I take action every day to work toward my goals. When I come upon a challenge, I figure out a solution that can get me moving again rather than allow the situation to stall me in my quest.

I am passionate. My zest for life gives me the energy and motivation to be the best I can be. When I choose a path to travel, I go down that path full-force. I love fully, selflessly and completely.

I clarify my priorities and make decisions accordingly. I know what is important to me and live without regret.

All these things keep me from being average. I am unique, valuable, and important to this world. I know it with absolute certainty and live an extra-ordinary life that shows it.

Today, I plan to step out of the average world, discover a new talent, and take action to develop it.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How am I unique and extra-ordinary?
2. Do I let my passion for life shine through in my daily activities?
3. What am I currently doing to develop my special talents?

I know that great things await me! My destiny lies in going out to meet it rather than sitting around waiting for something to happen. Therefore, I bravely step outside my comfort zone to embrace it wholeheartedly!

Staying inside my comfort zone is safe. But then again, so is staying inside my house and never venturing forth to live my life. In the same way, trying to stay inside my comfort zone can stifle me and prevent me from living a fulfilled life.

I take action every day to step outside my comfort zone. Sometimes I explore a new place, sometimes I learn something new, and sometimes I go out of my way to meet new people.

<img class="size-medium wp-image-834" title="068-Buddha-800x600" src="http://personaldevelopmentandselfimprovement.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/068-Buddha-800x600-300x225.jpg" alt="There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth. Not going all the way and not starting. - Buddha

In exploring these adventures, I am able to discover talents I never knew I had and strengthen my skills. They bring the richness of new cultures and new ideas to challenge my old ways of thinking.

Each time I step outside my comfort zone it becomes easier to do it again. It does not take long to get used to it and I find that the benefits of doing so far outweigh the risks.

What are a few uncomfortable feelings compared to the excitement of conquering new horizons and living life to its fullest? I take life by the horns and ride it for all it’s worth!

Today, my plan is to be bold so I can step outside my comfort zone and find the adventures of my destiny!

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I feel the pull of destiny encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone?
2. What can I do to be more at ease in pursuing new adventures?
3. What benefits have I received from taking bold action?

I look forward to my future with hope and confidence. If the future brings joy, I welcome it. If it brings challenges, I know that I have the strength and fortitude to conquer them. As a result, I am free from fear.

If I am at the bottom of a curving stairway, I do not hesitate to take that first step just because I cannot see the top! When I get in my car to go someplace, I do not fear what I may encounter on my journey!

In the same way, I move forward with my life and take action to reach my goals even though I cannot see my entire journey ahead of time.

Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it. - Bill Cosby

I avoid fretting over what is to come. Even now, with an intense political climate and a recession in full bloom, I can avoid worry. Instead, I seek solutions and focus on what I CAN DO to experience the life I desire.

One thing I can do is to live in the moment. When I am focused on this moment, there is no past or future. There is only now! I practice enjoying life moment by moment and relish the beauty that is all around me, just waiting for me to discover it!

My action plans to reach my goals are flexible. I know that challenges are a natural part of life and I am free to change my path from time to time. With this strategy, I can always be moving forward, even if I take a short detour.

Today, I choose to be carefree, put any worries in the past, and discover the beauty of this day.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What are my worries for the future?
2. What can I do today to help me focus on taking positive action?
3. How can I live more in the moment?

If you don’t already have a prosperity mindset, it might be a hard thing to imagine. There are certain ways you can chase your dreams while keeping wealth and prosperity in mind at the same time.

A prosperity mindset encourages you to take action each day to improve your life on numerous levels, such as health, wealth, love or anything else you deem important.

Study The Actions Of Successful People

Perhaps this is the most important suggestion. Learn by example. Find someone successful whom you admire and do what they do. These individuals serve as proof that your dreams can come true.

Find someone who has had the same kind of success that you desire.

Study what they’ve done right as well as their mistakes.

It’s always easier when we have an example to follow. Find a way to ask successful people questions. You might be surprised to know that successful people love to inspire others to find success as well. They know that there’s plenty of success to go around. That’s the prosperity mindset in action!

It’s All About Being Positive

If you believe in yourself, you can achieve your dreams. The moment you think you can’t do something, you can’t. You know that negative feelings arise from time to time and that’s okay. However, you need to keep a positive image of the big picture in your mind at all times.

Picture yourself reaching your goals and imagine how it feels.

Surround yourself with positive people.

Write prosperity affirmations.

Be an open person.

When you open up to new opportunities, you open up to prosperity. Stay motivated and don’t be afraid of change.

Setting Goals And Action Plans

You can dream all day about where you’d like your life to go, but without a goal or an action plan nothing will happen. Take time to think about the big picture and then draw in the lines of how you’re going to get there.

Break down your goals into smaller steps.

Set manageable and achievable goals.

Stick to your plan whenever possible.

Don’t Give Up

You have to have the dedicated motivation and drive to tell yourself that you’ll stop at nothing before you reach success. When you talk to or study the actions of someone who is successful, they’ll likely tell you tales of their many failures. There were probably times when they felt like giving up, but they were able to push through defeat.

Realize that everyone feels like giving up, but we can’t give in to these feelings.

Keep the image of your goal in your mind.

Make changes if you need to, but continue taking action toward your goal.

Get A Life Coach

People with prosperity mindsets are all different. They have different approaches to getting what they want and they have different definitions of what prosperity is for them.

There are certain things they do have in common though. They all have a hungry enthusiasm for life and a positive attitude that they’ll continue to use on the journey forward.

If you feel that you lack any of the core beliefs and are still unsure about whether or not you can adopt a prosperity mindset, you could always look into getting advice from a life coach. They’ll be able to break down your problems and concerns and tailor a plan that will work for you personally.

When you implement these strategies, you’ll gain a renewed prosperity mindset that will help you on your life journey.
