Photo by h.koppdelaneyI am happy with my age. I am past the doubts, trials, and tribulations of youth and I look forward to many years of adding to my wisdom. The way I see it, the more years I experience, the more blessed I am!

Many people my age are concerned about being replaced on the job by a “young, promising talent.” But, I have something no amount of young talent can replace: experience and expertise.

These attributes can only be earned with years of ceaseless effort. I am confident in my abilities and prove myself every day to be an asset to my employer.

I am confident in my appearance. I have the glow of good health from my years of eating right and exercising. I take care of my skin and use anti-aging products to look my best. If a fine line shows up here and there, I wear it with pride, knowing that a happy life of laughter can cause such fine lines.

My loved ones appreciate me for my lovely personality, wit, and healthy sense of humor. These qualities are what they see when they look at me, rather than my age.

Age is only a number and it makes no difference what that number is. I am youthful, vibrant, good-looking, and healthy, regardless of the date that is written on my birth certificate.

Today, I accept the aging process. Every year I can put under my belt is another year of wisdom I can add to my repertoire.

Photo by angela7dreamsWise words in times of confusion enable me to stay grounded like the anchor on a ship. Instead of being swayed by every wind that comes my way, I seek the advice of experienced people who genuinely care about me.

Seeking wisdom keeps me from wandering in the vast ocean of opportunities. I listen to my trusted advisers and consider their advice. I use their ideas as a springboard for forming my own conclusions.

Heeding the words of the wise prevent me from unnecessary pitfalls. Life is too short to learn every lesson from personal experiences. I save myself time and heartache when I learn from the experiences of others.

Counseling helps me approach life changes free from fear. I ask for counseling for a variety of situations. From personal to career-related, it does me good to listen to the ideas of others.

When I am deeply involved in a situation and my emotions are high, it can be challenging to think objectively. That is why I ask for wise counsel from those around me whom I can trust.

Listening to another person’s point of view helps me evaluate options I may have missed. I receive clarity of mind when I accept the observations of others.

I have the right and responsibility to seek out advice from wise people. In the end, though, I must choose for myself the path I will take.

Today, I chose to seek out wise counsel. I appreciate those who love me enough to tell me things I need to hear, even if I would rather not hear them.

Photo by ZEDZAP>NickWisdom is the ultimate gift, because it is my guide in life. The conviction that wisdom brings helps me to appreciate all of the other blessings in my life. My character is deeply rooted in my thirst for knowledge.

I am driven by a desire to leave behind a legacy for my children to follow. I want those behind me to walk in wisdom simply by following my footsteps. The values that I am teaching others through my example will live on long after my name is forgotten.

Fame is temporary, but knowledge lasts forever. Therefore, I spend my time and energy on attaining what has the most value: knowledge. Performing acts of kindness for others is the gift that keeps on giving.

The impact that my life is making on my children will outlast me for years to come. Generations after me will benefit from the decision I am making today to seek wisdom above all things.

I desire nothing more than to make a difference in the world and in the lives of the young people around me. Fame, fortune, and making a name for myself are irrelevant to me next to leaving behind a legacy of excellence and hard work.

I am digging a well with the shovel of persistence and the strength of desire. As I dig deeper into the well, I overflow with wisdom and character for others to take away.

Today, I choose to shift my focus from building a name for myself to digging a well that will serve as a resource for generations to come.

I get up quickly when I fall.

I get up quickly when I fall. The experience makes me stronger.

I get up quickly when I fall because my strength is determined by my resolve to move forward, regardless of setbacks. When I am determined to succeed, a simple fall only fuels my drive. No matter how many times I fall, I wipe the dust off my knees and carry on.

Sometimes in my walk I may stumble, which sets me back. But a minor stumble may prevent me from falling. When I stumble I hold on to the lessons that I have learned in the past to help me stand strong once again.

Hope stays with me when I fall because, when I hit the ground, the only direction to go is up. I can look forward to tomorrow because I will enter the day with new wisdom. My vision stays close to my heart even if I have to make adjustments to my plans.

I keep my dignity when I fall because my true character is revealed at the lowest point. Even when I have made a mistake I continue to be an intelligent person worthy of admiration and respect.

Without overanalyzing my mistakes I evaluate my actions in order to learn and grow. I refrain from judging myself too harshly in order to preserve my spirit. I offer myself the same forgiveness that I give freely to others.

Today, I choose to get up quickly from any falls I may experience. I learn from my mistakes and become a stronger person, ready to face the challenges of the day.

Fear is no match for my strong spirit and will.

Photo by h.koppdelaneyMy will and my spirit are stronger than any dart of fear aimed in my direction. When disappointment strikes, I remain confident in myself because I am certain that great success is within my reach.

Though fear may relentlessly try to come against me, my strong will helps me reject fear over and over again. I carry on in my journey with a positive attitude because my spirit is too strong to be broken. I dance through the streets of my destiny to the melody of joy, thanks to the invincible spirit within me.

I can accomplish anything I set my mind to when I am determined. I have written down my goals and my vision in order to stay on track. Nothing can stand in my way when I have a plan and an unyielding will.

Having a vision is like a telescope that magnifies my opportunities and places the barriers in perspective. When I look at the bigger picture, I realize that the obstacles I may face are nothing in comparison to the wisdom I will gain.

My spirit is fearless in the midst of new endeavors. Armed with courage, I am capable of charting new experiences for myself. My strong will and audacious spirit propel me to action even when I hesitate.

Today, I am fearless in the face of the unknown. I choose to replace discouragement with renewed strength and a desire to work harder in order to achieve more than I ever imagined.
